Activity

Architecture

Since the beginning of their professional activity, more than thirty years ago, the architects of AUG-ARQUITECTOS, SLP have designed and directed works, both for a new plant, as well as for restoration and rehabilitation. Most of the projects have been of medium scale or private assignments, especially for residential use, although not exclusively.

The services performed also include, when requested by the client, the design and interior design of the building, giving the work an integral dimension. Likewise, if the action requires it, the team develops the Activity Projects necessary for the commissioning of an establishment.

Territorial and Urban planning

AUG-ARQUITECTOS, SLP has been characterized, since the beginning of its activity, by making land-use planning and urban planning a fundamental pillar of the team's activity, becoming a benchmark company in the sector. Coinciding with a stage of profound transformation in the legal framework and in the interpretation of this discipline, with the appearance of a territorial, landscape and environmental vision, the company has been growing and adapting, with a large number of orders, both private and (on all) of the Public Administration. At this time, he develops multiple plans, with the common denominator of involvement and absolute commitment to work, in a highly complex and highly specialized field.

Heritage protection

Heritage protection, understood in a broad sense, is a field in which urban planning meets architecture and a passion for art and for the study of cultural heritage. This explains the large number of Protection Catalogs drawn up by the company (more than thirty), special protection plans, master plans and architectural interventions to restore the built heritage. Activity in this field, which has resulted in the protection of thousands of assets and the promotion of many old town ordinances that have contributed to its preservation, is a facet that produces great satisfaction and with which AUG-ARQUITECTOS SLP she feels compromised.

Technical judicial reports

AUG-ARQUITECTOS, SLP carries out, reports and expert opinions both by judicial appointment and by party. The specialties in which they intervene as experts are urban planning, construction pathologies and the usual disputes in relation to building in civil law matters (subject to the project and construction regulations, affections to third parties, etc.). The architects of AUG-ARQUITECTOS, SLP have participated as judicial experts and as part of more than two hundred procedures before the Administration of Justice, with a success rate close to 95%.

Advise

URBAN PLANNING

The extensive experience in drafting and processing urban planning instruments for public administration, private developers and individuals, has allowed the AUG-ARQUITECTOS, SLP team to acquire a comprehensive vision of all the agents involved in urban planning and programming. of soil. In this way, the perspectives and interests with which one intervenes in land planning and management are understood, either as promoters or as land owners. In this context and at the request of our clients, consultancy and advisory work related to urban planning and land management is frequent.

COMMUNITY OWNERS AND PROPERTY MANAGERS

The management of buildings dedicated to collective residential use often generates the need for a specific technical advice, both to the managers of these properties and to the owners of the same. Our team performs these functions to:

  • determine the suitability of undertaking works of conservation and maintenance, then taking construction management and drafting the rehabilitation project, when needed.
  • study the extent of possible injuries or diseases of the building.
  • assess the adaptability of the building to the rules (LOE, CTE, removing. architectural barriers, etc.).
  • establish the city planning norms governing possible extensions of the building, uses, etc..

Rosa Briso de Montiano García

Valladolid

Architect and Master’s degree in Architectural Restoration by the Superior Technical School of Architecture in Madrid (1991).

Head of the architecture area in AUG-ARQUITECTOS, SLP, she focuses her professional activity on architecture, interior design and restoration. She has been working with Víctor García Gil since 1991, when they started their business together in Madrid.

She has extensive experience in various fields of building, mainly concerning private sector assignments. She develops her projects, either restoration or avant-garde, personally involving herself in their elaboration, adapting them to the profile and singularity of each property.

Her way of approaching each work pursues a responsible interpretation of architecture, by modulating suggestive spaces and provoking a sensory experience, which invites you to discover the soul of architecture and enjoy a higher life quality. Within this responsibility, it is also included the use of the adequate construction materials, as well as a careful execution.

The work process begins with the definition of functional needs, previously agreed with the client. Next, the enclave and the landscape environment are studied in order to obtain the basis of what will become the definitive project. Subsequently, the creative phase begins, where the volumetry and the distribution of uses are analyzed, spaces are molded, light is filtered, visual perspectives are captured and materials are selected, so that the proposal takes shape. In a last phase, the structural and constructive elements and the facilities are defined.

The objective is to achieve an architecture with soul and without artifice, thoughtful, honest, sensual, sensible, living, subtle, free, timeless.

“We like that subdued clarity, made of exterior light and of uncertain appearance, trapped in the surface of the twilight-colored walls and retaining only a last remnant of life. For us, that clarity on a wall, or rather that penumbra, is valid for all the decorations in the world and its vision never tires us”.

JUNICHIRŌ TANIZAKI. “In Praise of Shadows”. 1933
