CATALOG OF GOOD URBAN PRACTICES WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE OBJECTIVES OF THE SPANISH URBAN AGENDA

The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, in collaboration with the University of Navarra, has published the “CATALOG OF GOOD URBAN PRACTICES WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE OBJECTIVES OF THE SPANISH URBAN AGENDA-STUDY AND ANALYSIS OF INTEGRATED URBAN EXPERIENCES”. According to its authors, “the guide or catalog of projects, actions and good urban practices responds to action 5.4 of the Action Plan of the Spanish Urban Agenda (AUE) for the General State Administration, which seeks to inform and train technicians, politicians and citizens through good practices that, despite their different objectives and contexts, have an integrated nature and contribute decisively to pursuing more sustainable urban development. Through this work, a total of 66 urban experiences are systematically identified and exposed (six of them paradigmatic and traditional examples of integrated urban actions), which aim to generate knowledge in relation to real examples of plans, actions and projects that have been successfully launched in towns and cities of Spain and that are perfectly aligned with the strategic objectives promoted by the AUE”.

Among the selected experiences is the Director Plan of the Integral Urban Regeneration of the Historic Artistic Complex of Alcalá del Júcar (Albacete), drafted by AUG-ARQUITECTOS, SLP, which won the first prize for the Comprehensive Urban Regeneration actions of the Government of Castilla La Mancha in 2017.
