During the month of August 2021, the works of the new single-family house that since 2018 had been carried out in Rubielos de Mora (Teruel) under the supervision of the architect Rosa Briso de Montiano García, who is also the author of the project, have concluded. This house is characterized by using in a new and current way, traditional materials and techniques in a rural setting with quality rural architecture. The project has combined the construction materials used both outside and inside the house, which are the same, so that the control of the exterior space is achieved from the interior rooms, creating an environment in which the light bathes and defines the architecture, helping to create a feeling of expansion in the different rooms and cleanliness of materials.
The wood, the metal profiles, the brickwork with very thick joints of lime mortar, the smooth plastered panels and the large windows with the possibility of being completely hidden in the walls, have been the materials with which this has been built. In the design, the thermal performance of the building has also been studied with special care, achieving a very isolated element, in which the heating and cooling system, by geothermal energy, works with great efficiency.
This work was developed during the period of the COVID-2019 pandemic, which did not prevent the lead architect from visiting the works more than a hundred times, from the beginning of the works, until ensuring their complete completion, in accordance with the dictated directions.
