The Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces organizes, for the third consecutive year, a course where the FUNDAMENTAL CONCEPTS OF VALENCIAN URBAN PLANNING are addressed. The course, aimed at municipal technicians and personnel at the service of local administrations with competence in urban planning, will take place between November 15 and December 2, 2021, in two calls of six days each. The need to carry out the course in two calls is due to the great demand and good reception that the course has had, which has forced the organizers to divide the attendees into two groups.
Each of the sessions lasts five hours and has a theoretical and practical part, which allows us to enter in some detail the most relevant aspects of valencian urbanism. Sessions are devoted to the analysis of the different types of planning, to the description of the urban instruments, the way of intervening in the urban or rural environment, etc., so that at the end of the course, the students obtain a sufficient insight Complete overview of the most relevant aspects of a discipline as complex as urban planning and spatial planning.
The teachers’ poster is similar to that of previous occasions, being the officials of the Department of Territorial Policy, Public Works and Mobility who have greater prominence. Together with them, the architect of AUG-ARQUITECTOS SLP, Víctor García Gil, participates again with a presentation aimed at developing the concept and content of the Structural Plans and Approvals, a figure that is scarcely developed in valencian urban planning legislation and which has great interest. As a novelty, this year there is Professor Jorge Hervás Mas among the speakers.
