The city council of Alpuente (Valencia) has commissioned AUG-ARQUITECTOS, SLP with the preliminary work to undertake the restoration of an interesting medieval building located next to the Town Hall and a few meters from the parish church of Nuestra Señora de la Piedad and the part of the walls that is preserved, all of them elements of high heritage value included in the Traditional Historic Center of Alpuente. The commission has been carried out within the framework of the actions promoted by the Second Vice Presidency and the Department of Housing and Bioclimatic Architecture and in the preparation of the documentation prepared by the company commissioned by the city council, the design criteria have been taken into account recovery and restoration of materials, recycling and the use of artisan techniques and products, typical of the vernacular architecture of the Los Serranos region, where the town of Alpuente is located. All this, in accordance with the provisions of ORDER 4/2021, of June 11, of the Second Vice Presidency and Department of Housing and Bioclimatic Architecture, by which the regulatory bases for the granting of subsidies for the rehabilitation of buildings are approved and the adaptation of the built environment in municipalities through the Pla Conviure and aid is called for the year 2021.
The Alpuente City Council, with the support of the Autonomous Administration, has been promoting in the different villages of the municipal term a series of measures aimed at the rehabilitation and recovery of their cultural heritage, from an inclusive perspective that contributes to overcoming territorial, generational gaps and gender. These actions have involved significant economic investments in recent years and have made it possible to fight effectively against depopulation, in a rural municipality seriously affected by this problem and with a situation of comprehensive vulnerability according to file 1879 (April 2020) of the Summary of VEUS data.
Likewise, the action is fully consistent with the RECOVERY PLAN 130 MEASURES AGAINST THE DEMOGRAPHIC CHALLENGE promoted by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge and with the AVANT STRATEGY 20-30- VALENCIAN ANTIDOSPOPULATION STRATEGIC PLAN.
