Last Friday, July 17, and in the plenary hall of the Torrechiva City Council, the presentation of the Ordination Planning Plan took place. The event, which was attended by the corporation and municipal technicians, was attended by a significant number of residents, who filled a room in which it was necessary to distribute the seats, maintaining adequate security conditions, to prevent the spread of the pandemic of the COVID-19. For just under an hour, Víctor García Gil, director of the plan’s drafting team, reviewed what happened, from when he took charge of preparing the Structural General Plan (already approved) and the Detailed Ordination Plan, until the at which time it will be exposed to the public, once the municipal Environmental Assessment Commission resolves the environmental and territorial assessment of the document. The municipal architect also clarified some doubts, while the mayor encouraged residents to participate during the process that will begin shortly.
The interest of this meeting was to share with the neighbors the work carried out during these years, explain the fundamental objectives of the plan and, above all, submit to their assessment how much urban land subject to programming they want to be ordered from the general plan. In a municipality like Torrechiva and in a context of economic crisis, it is important to press the opinion of the owners of the land, in order not to create a situation that may provoke tax tensions, due to the increase in the tax that the land ordered in detail will bear.
