The Territorial Commission of Urban Planning of Valencia, in session held on September 25, 2019, definitively approved the Modification No. 12 of the Master Plan of Cofrentes. This is one of the four modifications that AUG-ARQUITECTOS, SLP has written on behalf of the Cofrentes city council and is the only action that has required the approval of the autonomous government, given its complexity and scope. The objectives of MP 12 of the PGOU were the adaptation of the growth of the sealed soil to the thresholds and real expectations of the municipality and the correction of the qualification of a small area of undeveloped land and adaptation of its regulations. These objectives entailed, on the one hand, the elimination of one of the two sectors of developable land, the redefinition of the one that is maintained and the suppression of its detailed arrangement, in order to reduce the tax burden on the owners of these lands. On the other hand, 88,831 m² of rustic land were classified as non-developable land of generic protection, mistakenly included in the current planning as Non-Developable Agricultural Protection Land, when in fact these lands lacked such use, they have long been abandoned and The last destination they had was that of an inert waste dump.
