The economic crisis since 2007 shakes Spain and the world and has changed produced everywhere numerous substantial changes, including many in the field of urbanism and architecture. For example, today a trend has been introduced among public administrations to entrust their municipal officers to elaborate Master Plans, even if they lack any experience in the sector. Also in the legislative area of Valencia they have made substantial changes in the attributions for environmental and territorial evaluation in order to relieve the regional administration of a workload that was choking it. But even in the Pritzker Awards (So called “Nobel” for architecture), jurors are set on an architect with a professional trajectory somewhat different from that of his predecessors and, in a decision not without controversy, have given the award to a former member of the jury and known Chilean architect.
