The Territorial Planning Commission of Castellón, in their session of February 11, 2015, approved the Master Plan of Navajas (Castellón) written by AUG-ARQUITECTOS, SLP. The commitment plan for growth based on containment and respect for the environment, as evidenced by the fact that the land earmarked for future growth (both urban and developable) represents only 6.13% of the municipality and where in the 93.10% remaining (undeveloped land), only 82.83% is protected. The plan proposes to develop barely 1.00% of the municipal area over the next twenty years, colonizing just six hectares of land intended for residential use. Elaborating on the policies promoted by the Law 8/2013 of rehabilitation, regeneration and urban renewal, the new plan focuses on urban spaces where the emphasis should be on public and private initiatives aimed at recovering existing tissue.
