With the excuse of the economic crisis some public Administrations, particularly in Valencia, have established a criterion as a key for the award of public contracts, namely the “Lowest bid auction”. Thus, the same Administration agencies which in many cases have managed public resources in a way which carries consequences that we all citizens suffer and try to settle in the courts of justice, these very Authorities, in a difficult attempt to determine responsibilities, try now to save money in the adjudication of supply contracts of goods and services at impossible costs: the same prices for which, just a year ago, the same authorities excluded bidders by qualifying their offers as “reckless”, consider now indispensable to qualify for an award. This is the renounce to quality, another side of the Spanish economic crisis, whose consequences will suffer the same citizens who bear with indignation the weight of the economic sacrifices imposed.
