As is frequently the case in Spanish territories in the seashore of both, mainland and islands, a part of the municipal territory of Castellon de la Plana is vastly occupied by thousands of illegal homes. The permissiveness of the local authorities, afraid of facing an increasingly large group of offenders, has facilitated the growth of a problem which has attained colossal dimensions. However, lately, the actions of the public prosecution, accompanied by an economic view, have introduced a new perspective on the problem.
