The City Council of Navajas (Castellón), approved the revised Preliminary Version of the Master Plan and the Environmental Report, prepared by AUG- ARQUITECTOS, SLP . With this procedure and subsequent delivery to the Strategic Environmental Assessment Commission for approval, the document is only two steps away from final approval. Its most prominent feature is the containment and sustainability of proposed growth model, fully consistent with the guidelines of the Territorial Strategy of the Valencian Community. The undeveloped land occupies 93.10% of the municipality, while the urban reaches 6.13% and 0.78% remaining developable. Within the undeveloped land, 82.49% is protected. These parameters are answered municipal housing demand in the coming decades and establishing a territorial model opts for good quality residential use in an environment where there is sufficient supply of land adjoining municipal collective and productive elements.
The effort for the protection of assets, collected on an extensive Catalogue of Protected Goods and Spaces which reflects the rich cultural legacy and the concern for their maintenance and enhancement was quite remarkable.
