TERRITORIAL PLANNING COMMISSION OF CASTELLÓN APPROVES THE MASTER PLAN OF LA MATA

The Territorial Planning Commission of Castellón, at its meeting October 28, 2015, approved the Master Plan of La Mata (Castellón) written by AUG-ARQUITECTOS, SLP. The plan proposes an urban model based on restraint and respect for the environment, as evidenced by the fact that the (only urban and not classified and development land) soil accounts for only 0.40% of the municipality and where, of the remaing 99.60 (undeveloped) 82.88% is protected. The plan aims at developing hardly  0.40% of the municipality over  the next twenty years, colonizing only 0.7 hectares of land intended for residential use. Elaborating on the policies promoted by the State Law 8/2013 of rehabilitation, regeneration and urban renewal, the new plan is looking at urban spaces that should focus on  which public  and private initiatives of existing tissue recovery should concentrate. The document is accompanied by a Catalogue  of Goods and Protected Areas, earlier approved, in which a long list of protected property is provided.
