After concluding the environmental assessment and urban processing, the City Council of Todolella (Castellón, Spain) has definitively approved the Puntual Modification No. 1 of the General Plan of Urban Ordination (PGOU), approved on December 14, 2016. The purpose of the modification It is the expansion of the permitted uses in the properties classified as multiple endowment land in the PGOU, which will facilitate their management and promote the local economy. The scope of the specific modification allowed the council itself to decide, through a municipal environmental body, the environmental and territorial evaluation. The final approval has also been, in this case, municipal. The particularity of this action is that it was promoted coinciding with the pandemic associated with COVID-2019 and the subsequent confinement, which did not prevent that, complying with the legal deadlines established by urban and environmental legislation and by Royal Decree 463/2020, of March 14, declaring the state of alarm for the management of the health crisis caused by COVID-19, the city council could resolve the entire process in just five months.
Both the PGOU, and this Specific Modification, have been drawn up by AUG-ARQUITECTOS, SLP, commissioned by the City Council of Todolella.
