DESCRIPTION
The project presents some complexity, due to the combination of a highly controlled sports activity, such as that of a homologated and legalized shooting range for all purposes, the restoration of an old farmhouse and medieval defensive tower and the habilitation of part of the dependencies. linked to the defensive tower, on the ground floor, for hospitality use linked to the celebration of shooting sporting events.
The determinations that affected the land object of this request, are contained in the Subsidiary Norms of Benassal (Castellón) and its current modifications, as well as in the applicable legislation at the time of drafting and processing.
The shooting range is organized from three outdoor sports shooting ranges (two for pigeon shooting and one for clay pigeon shooting). In accordance with the regulations applicable to shooting ranges provided by the Guardia Civil, a zone is established security included in a circular sector of 45º on both sides of the shooter’s station and 200 meters in radius (decreasable depending on the characteristics of the terrain on Court 1 up to 158 meters), distributed in the following areas:
- Up to 60 meters, zone of effectiveness of the shot.
- Up to 100 meters, dish drop zone.
- Up to 200 meters, the area where the leads drop without any effectiveness, but annoying
The security area, with an area of 90,644 m², is devoid of all kinds of buildings, infrastructure elements, roads, or livestock routes, so that the transit of people on foot or in vehicles and animals is easily controllable. In large part it is a space occupied by a forest of holm oaks, elk and other native species. In addition, the entire protection zone belongs in its entirety also to the promoters of the activity, which gives additional security to the activity.
A part of the access road to the courts is under the security zone of court no. 1, therefore, during the runs on this court, access is closed and signaled by carrying out shooting exercises. In compliance with current regulations, requests made before the Civil Guard for the celebration of print runs expressly state that their authorization is linked to the verification by the members of the Benemérita of compliance with all security requirements. .
Each court consists of a horizontal platform of compacted earth in the shape of a horseshoe with a post for the shooter at the base, conveniently marked. The shooter moves along a central corridor, while spectators stand behind him and enter the field always behind his position, the venue being appropriately enclosed. The project contemplates the covering of part of the land, to constitute wooded platforms as a continuous bench for the spectators, so that they can witness the spread comfortably seated in the shade of the leafy trees existing on the estate.
The pitching machines for court 3 (clay pigeon shooting) are duly protected within an underground reinforced concrete roof construction. From what has been said above, it can be deduced that the project does not propose any construction above ground, beyond the bank. aforementioned.
The activity for which the Declaration of Community Interest is requested served as an incentive for the promoters, to undertake the restoration of the FARMHOUSE BULCH, in order to allocate part of it to dependencies linked to the shooting, and another part to housing. Indeed, on the existing building and without increasing its buildability or occupation on the ground floor, the aim is to locate the recreation area in the body attached to the farmhouse, reserving the rest for housing. Thus, a large space of 234 m² is obtained as a living room and a living area, in addition to the services and the kitchen.
